Thanks Tsukki for the segment introduction! This week was really sparse! I haven’t had a lot of time to sit down and write. I’ve got so many posts started but need to finish them off and sent them out. But here’s my round-up of posts:
- [OP]: Floatable | Sunday Salutations: I finished the PSVita game Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth. The song was really catchy so I featured it. It’s probably one of my favorite OP’s for an otome so far.
- Top 8 Silver (Grey) Foxes: I list my 8 favorite Silver foxes! Bokuto has a special place in my heart as he ranks number 1. His silliness is addictive!

I’m going to do something a bit different here. I won’t just link anime related posts. I’m opening this up to gaming, architecture, art, anything I’ve found worthwhile on the internet! (I’ve crossed our architecture and art as I’m creating a new series on this subject matter since they’re not anime-related)
WordPress:
- How to Write with Strength and Authority, Even When You Feel Like a Nobody: Seasonal Prattle has been giving great articles for content creators to read. I highly recommend checking out their stuff; there’s always more to learn as a blogger!
- Mel’s Watch List – Summer 2017: My buddy Mel and I have a lot in common when it comes to anime; so whatever’s on her list is kind of on my own list (which I recently published).
- Narrative: Anime’s Key Ingredient: Tim has some great pieces that he features, and more recently he joined up in writing for Wave Motion Cannon.
Non-Wordpress:
- YT’s Classics: “Please Save My Earth” is a Masterwork of Multiple Perspective Storytelling: I LOVED the 6 OVA episodes of this manga; but I did a disservice to myself by not following through on the manga as it seems I missed out on quite a lot!
- Female Esports Pros Hope To Close The Gender Gap: An interesting piece to check out!
- Final Fantasy XV’s Episode Prompto Is Way Better Than The Last DLC: I’m a huge fan of Prompto! So I’m glad to see some positive reviews on his DLC

OWLS POSTS:
We are a group of otaku bloggers who promotes acceptance of all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and disability. We emphasize the importance of respect, kindness, and tolerance to every human being.
Our June tour looked at the theme of “Team”. The prompt is as follows:
June is known as “Pride Month” within the LGBT & Queer communities in honor of the Stonewall Riots that occurred at the end of June in 1969. At OWLS, we strongly support individuals who are part of the LGBT & Queer communities as well as individuals who are struggling with their sexual orientation or gender identity.
“Team” functions in two ways: 1) allows individuals to show their support to the LGBT & Queer communities and 2) allows LGBT & Queer communities to express their love to whoever they want.
So for the “Team” topic, we will be discussing our favorite LGBT & Queer characters in anime and other pop culture related media, the impact of the yaoi and yuri genre within LGBT & Queer communities, our personal stories involving gender/sexual orientation, and etc.
Here’s a round up for the month:
- For the Team – Free! & My Swim Story by Takuto (Takuto’s Anime Café)
- The Poor Perception of Male Crossdressers in Japanese Media by Remy Fool (The Lily Garden)
- When We Fetish Yaoi by Katrina Sade (Grimm Girl)
- Redefining the Rotten Fandom of the Rotten Yaoi Genre by Arria Cross (Fujinsei)
- It Just Is: Relationships Don’t Always Need Labels by Naja (Nice Breaking It, Hero)
- Crona Gorgon: Soul Eater by Zoe (Let’s Talk Anime)
- Yuri Anime and Manga: Validating Lesbian Relationships As Real by Rai (Rai’s Anime Blog)
- Defining Your Own Identity by Lita (LitaKino Anime Corner)
- Late to the Game but Better Late Than Never by crimson613 (My Fujoshi Life)
- Akuma No Riddle – is My Love Story by Stephanie Clarke (Anime Girls NYC)
