Hello ani-bloggers and friends! Today is an exciting day as we’re embarking on a new year with of one of my more popular segments’ Women Crush Wednesday. If you’re new around here, WCW focuses on more than a celebration of these ladies in comparison to the eyecandy of MCM. I highlight female leads that stand out due to their bad-assery, they’re independent attitudes, accomplishments, and character development in a series.
In previous WCWs, I’ve written about a few other strong Attack on Titan ladies, specifically Ymir & Historia. Attack on Titan is no stranger to lots of strong females, after all the world is cruel and most of the ladies here have a story to be told.
This week, we celebrate Mikasa Ackerman of Attack on Titan. As, this week is her birthday week! Her birthday is actually this coming Saturday, February 10.
Okay, let’s be real here. There’s a total of FOUR women that have roles in Kuroko no Basket and honestly none of them have many faults. Surprised? Instead of me tearing down any of these girls, let’s talk about them in a positive light! I know, it seems hypocritical considering I trashed Makoto Hanamiya yesterday, but, there really is no bad female in this show. Although many of these ladies are minor characters, they have really strong roles, and it’s actually another aspect as to why I love this show! So let’s break it down!
And we’re back with Day 2 of the KnB Challenge! Today’s featured character has been previously discussed before in a very important series of mine: Women Crush Wednesday. To refresh your memory, Women Crush Wednesday is a play on “Woman Crush Wednesday” in which a female character is featured. My version of WCW focuses on strong females in anime; whether they be leads or background characters, these women have made their roles clear and their voices heard, and stand for something!
My favorite woman from Kuroko no Basket is none other than Riko, Aida.
