Good Evening everyone! I’m totally going off tangent today with something totally random. BUT, its still (somewhat) anime related!
During my short break, I’ve been doing some self-reflecting on the past year or so, and I’ve realized I need a better balance of a lot of things in life. Honestly, 2017 went by in a blink of an eye. I don’t want to say I regret anything, which is why progress slowly but surely is better than standing still. Work has not made it very easy for me, to say the least, and on top of that I can be really, really, realllyyy lazy if I want to be. I’m also not one to really make resolutions because more often than not, I’m more prone to break them. So, instead I shall call them my yearly goals.

Hey hey hey fellow ani-bloggers and lovers! Today I bring you a bit of a throw-back to the 90’s as this came up in one of my group chats last week. If I remember correctly we were talking about a few of the relationships that we did not quite understand, especially with the translation/localization of the series to the west. And somehow we ended up discussing the villains of the first season.
Yes, I’m talking about Queen Beryl’s henchmen, the Shitennou (the Four Heavenly Kings). I did not know this, but upon reading up on them I had no idea that they actually served under King Endymion prior to becoming posessed by evil energy and under Queen Beryl’s rule. Maybe I knew, but completely forgot because I haven’t watched it in years, nor have I finished Crystal. But anyways, let’s talk about each of them, from least favorite to favorite.

Welcome back to the [KnB Challenge]!
(image sources via Kuroko no Basuke Wiki)
If I really had to choose between the anime or the manga, I can’t really choose because, I’ve only just started the manga. So it wouldn’t be fair to just say the anime is the better of the two.
Which do you guys prefer?
Happy Monday everyone! It’s time for yet another Man Crush Monday. This week’s MCM is a bit different as I was tagged by one of my closest blogger-friends Mel

Hello dear readers! As I mentioned on Sunday, I’ll be kicking off November with the Kuroko no Basket Challenge as found by Mel. With that being said, I figured tonight would be the best time to introduce the prompt to you all!

Sooo, this was bound to happen– My first legitimate BL post. This time I’m not just featuring a character, but the couple themselves. I’m still a semi-novice to the BL scene, and I still have a lot to learn about the different kinds out there. While there is the cute and fluffy type love (Shounen AI) there’s also the more sex-driven side (Yaoi). I actually enjoy the broad spectrum that BL has to offer, and have recognized the pro’s and con’s of this genre. While a lot of it can be disturbing (with the themes and tones of violence and rape) there’s also the feel good kinds of love.
I had intended this to be a list of my favorite canon couples; but decided, I really just want to write about my favorite couple: Yashiro & Doumeki. I think most people I talk to daily (Naja and Mel) would confirm that I’m utterly obsessed with this one. Saezuru Tori Wa Habatakanai, also known as Twittering Birds Never Fly is a Boys Love manga from Koneda You. It’s also one of the manga’s I own physical copies of and I’m so obsessed that I’ve read these multiple times over and over trying to glean more into the complicated relationship that is evolving between the duo. The manga follows Yashiro, a member of the Yakuza, and is very much a promiscuous masochist, and his subordinate Doumeki, an impotent ex-cop that landed in the Yakuza because he needed a job and also because of an ulterior motive: Yashiro. These two are incompatible, but it works! So, what makes me a fan of this particular pair?

Today’s post will be a total first for me and this blog. I haven’t fully shared all my interests on here, because this would be considered a bit more taboo than others; but as of late since I’ve met some really cool people via the blog, and I feel comfortable openly discussing it since I’ve found others I can related to and discuss this kind of stuff with.
This week’s MCM isn’t from an anime. He’s from a BL/Yaoi manga. It’s just been half a year since I first found about this genre; and I was definitely perplexed by my fascination with it; but let’s save that discussion for another day. Continue reading “Broken Bird: Chikara Doumeki”
Hello dear readers! I’m so proud to announce that I’m officially launching Nendoroid Nook! A nendoroid appeared on my doorstep this past week, and I came up with the following idea when I laid my eyes upon him! I figured what better way than to launch this new part of my blog with it!
I apologize in advance if it’s rough around the edges. It’s my first pass at this concept and I may just push forward with this format for most of nendoroid content on the blog.
I’m hoping you guys really love this; because I fell in love with this concept and have a million ideas in my head I want to run with. With that being said, I’ll be handing it over to Kageyama again!
(NOTE: Please Read Right to Left! Like actual Manga!)
