LOL, okay I’ll apologize for such a pun of a title. It’s horrible. I could’ve changed it, but I’ve decided to keep the cheesiness of it. So, Sorry not sorry, I guess? With that being said, this week’s MCM features my top 10 orange-haired men.
10. Robato Hatohara (Robot X Laserbeam)
The newest character to add to my ever-growing obsession with sports anime. Robato hails from the new manga Robot X Laserbeam, a manga about Golf, from the mangaka Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the creator of my beloved Kuroko no Basket. Robato’s nickname is “Robo-Kun” as he is expressionless, straight-faced, and completely honest (very much like Kuroko). His classmates basically see him as a robot due to all of his mannerisms. Also, he’s a megane!! Who doesn’t love meganes! ❤
DECEMBER 22 marks a special day! For all you Haikyuu!! Lovers and fans; today is Kageyama Tobio’s Birthday!
So for his birthday and as my first official post of what could be a series; I’ve decided to share with you my growing hobby of collecting and photographing nendoroids. I’ve always been into photography but have fallen off the wagon due to life happening. I’m slowly getting back into it; so for starters I’ve really loved the idea of doing toy photography. I’m not very good with live subjects – considering my career choice it makes sense that I like to take photos of objects, landscapes, and of course architecture. In the future I may be posting more nendoroid photots/stories of Kageyama and the rest of the Karasuno gang and maybe some other photography- we’ll see how it goes since I already have an IG set up for him. And as most of you know, Kageyama is one of my absolute favorite characters! I’d love to hear what you guys think in the comments below! But, without futher ado:
TANJOUBI OMEDETOU KAGEYAMA-KUN!!
Please bear with me as I’m re-learning lighting and posing nendo’s I promise these will get better as time goes on!
Hinata’s overly excited as usual and so is Noya. Oikawa is hiding behind the tree because obviously he doesn’t really want to show that he’s celebrating with his kouhai. Tsukki is doing what Tsukki does best, make fun of Kageyama in the backround with snarky comments. Kenma is texting Sugawara, Kuro, Bokuto and Akashi to hurry up and join the party (because those nendoroids are coming out fairly soon!!)
I mentioned on twitter that I was a bit stressed out putting out this post on time. It’s surprising how painstakingly time consuming to set these guys up was. Not just to pose them but to really plan out the props being used (clearly my table is out of scale but I needed one to put his birthday cake on). From decorating the background to making little hats for them to wear, posing them, setting up ideal lighting conditions, taking multiple shots, sifting through these shots, and then photoshopping the photos took a lot of patience and effort and got to be really frustrating at times. But, I’m sure this process will get easier and faster as I continue to plan and do these photoshoots. I absolutely do NOT regret staying up late doing this because I loved every single second it took to get these shots. I had so much fun creating this scene that I can’t wait to continue on with more! I hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I did creating it.
It’s probably no surprise that this week’s OP/ED of the Week is going to be of Haikyuu. I just find this to be particularly fitting as we JUST finished Season 3! The Hype, The Feel’s! As Ron Burgundy would say, “I’m in a glass cage of emotion!”
I won’t say much about the season as I know not everyone’s exactly caught up. But all I can say is Season 3 was “the season of Tsukki”. The character development of this baby crow would make any fan proud! However, I cannot forget my absolute favorite – Kageyama. The focus wasn’t too much on him and Hinata this season; but it makes total sense. Season 1 and 2 showed immense improvement on both of their ends (mostly Kageyama for me). I’m looking forward to what’s going to be happening to Kageyama and his future development and also the dynamics that might occur between him and Hinata concerning his future. My inner fangirl is just incredibly proud and happy for all these baby crows! I think it’s time for me to start reading the manga!!
Anyways, this week’s song comes from the second half of Season 2. The last match of season 2 is also a match that I love to re-watch! This OP is one I actually listen to quite often when I want to get motivated because it’s a really uplifting song about pursuing your goals – basically the sky’s the limit. I absolutely love this song, not to mention that the OP animation is great! I’ve linked it before – but this guy’s analysis of this is outstanding: Mother’s Basement – What’s in an OP? Haikyuu
I’ll save my fangirling about Haikyuu for another post! Now that season 3 is done – I can go back to my re-watch blog series review and write more about them. I’m also planning on doing a Character Profile type blog series too. Just seriously need to plan out all these ideas. I know I keep saying it – but I swear it will come to fruition!
Hope you guys have a great start to your week and hope you found this song inspirational to get you started this Monday!
