Top 5 Blindingly Handsome White Haired Men

Happy Monday! This week I’m back to creating a list. This week I’m bringing you my personal take on my Top 5 Blindingly Handsome White Haired Men. White is often associated with  purity, innocence, light and perfection but these men are more devilishly handsome than pure, and definitely not innocent, but they are pretty close to perfection.

5. DECIM (Death Parade)

Decim was such a cool character on Death Parade. Of the arbiters, Decim feels bad about one of his misjudgments due to the influence of having Chiyuki around. He starts to understand human emotion a bit more over the course of the series.

Red Haired Men That Get You Fired Up!

Hey guys! I’m back with a list of my favorite fiery red haired men to kick off the work week!

10. SHIROU EMIYA (FATE/STAY NIGHT: UNLIMITED BLADEWORKS)

shirou_emiya

This is probably no surprise since I’ve written a bunch about UBW. Shirou barely made top 10! If it weren’t his relationship with Rin, he probably wouldn’t have made the list. I rather enjoy their relationship a ton which is why I had to include him.

When Your Dreams Dissolve into a Barren Wasteland [OWLS Blog Tour]

Hello everyone! Today’s a special day at Archi-Anime, as it’s my March tour stop on the OWLS blog tour. Just a friendly reminded that OWLS: Otaku Warriors for Liberty and Self-Respect, is a group that hope to spread the important message of respect and kindness to every human being. Our monthly blog tours that reflect this message of tolerance and self-acceptance, through various analysis of the anime medium; although it is not limited to anime.

This month’s topic is Sanctuary:

A sanctuary is a place of safety and stability. In anime, there are several different places and environments that characters call “home.” For this topic, we will be discussing various locations and settings within certain anime series.

At first, I didn’t think I was going to participate in this month’s tour, I was kind of fresh out of ideas. Until a member asked if it had to be a physical place; that triggered my memory of this anime.

As our prompts suggest a “sanctuary” represents a home, a safe haven of sorts.  A place you can return to when things get rough. A place to come to sort yourself out. It’s original meaning is a sacred place, like a shrine, for example.

But what if your “sanctuary” represented something more than something ‘safe’. What if your sanctuary served as a place to remind yourself of your ideals and dreams; not just dreams, but your failed attempts at following your ideals and dreams. A shrine dedicated to a constant reminder of your dreams dissolving to dust. You’re probably asking me how in the world is that a sanctuary? How does that help an individual grow?

For this month’s tour I’m looking at Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. Now, this is probably going to be a huge spoiler to those who have not seen it. So, if you care or don’t, that’s up to you to decide.

EVERYBODY LOVES A GOOD BAD GUY

Ah, bad guys, baddies, antagonists, scum of the earth. You can’t help but just love a good bad guy. The worse they are, the more we’re drawn to them, even when they end up dying you can’t help but feel a tiny bit sad they’re gone, but at the same time you’re like yes! They deserved what was coming to them! So here are my Top 5! (To be honest, I wanted to add a FMA character, but *sigh* I wanted to stick to a top 5. I’ll feature an FMA character when I go back to single posts! But! Lists for now!)

5. Zeref, Fairy Tail

The greatest Antagonist of the Fairy Tail world! He becomes the ultimate bad guy by mastering powerful Dark magic and becoming  the most evil mage in history by creating various demons that have been active and inactive throughout the years. His journey to becoming a n evil mage happened unintentionally as he had started from a good place. Due to the demon’s he’s created, many dark guilds have used him as inspiration in bringing upon evil in the world.

30 DAY ANIME CHALLENGE | 26

I love action; action films are my absolute favorite to watch in movie theaters. The cheesier the action film the better the fight scenes are typically – despite how crappy the story is the action to me is always well worth my time.

However, this anime is not necessarily crappy. I’ve talked about Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works probably as much as I’ve written about Fairy Tail  throughout this challenge; but these fight scenes have by far been the best animated series (in my humble opinion). There are a few pretty epic fights in this anime, and it’s hard to choose one over the other. So I’ll write about both. I’ll try to be as spoiler free as possible – but I can’t guarantee it, so proceed with caution! ESPECIALLY THE YOUTUBE LINKS.

First: Archer Vs. Lancer.
This is one of the top fights of UBW. Archer and Lancer square of in this major battle of the series. And it is phenomenal. The first time we see Archer and Lancer fight is in episode 0 and Lancer isn’t fighting at his full 100%. However, Archer’s abilities are not at a full 100% either because….reasons. (You’ll have to watch it to see) But we’re able to see their noble phantasms against one another and all the tricks Archer has up his sleeves especially his greatest defense. Very few .gifs can be found for this particular fight, so I’ve also attached the actual fight:

Second: Shirou Emiya Vs. Gilgamesh
The final battle of the series. Shirou takes on Gilgamesh after learning some very important pieces of information about himself. He’s also gathered more magic power to be able to pull this battle off due to Rin’s help. This is shirou’s ultimate power versus the Noble Phatasms that Gilgamesh posesses, The Gates of Babylon. If I could ever have a noble phantasm: I’d want Gilgamesh or Shirou’s.  Here’s a .gif as a teaser followed by the actual fight:

That would do it for the the best anime fights. I chose these because not only are they great fights but the animation is top notch.

What epic fight scenes come to mind for you?

30 DAY ANIME CHALLENGE | 16

I can’t believe I’ve already made it halfway through the challenge and am only off by 1 day!! I hope to keep this going strong. I also hopethis post isn’t too spoilery so I’ll try to keep it short.

Anyways, an Anime with the best animation. It’s hard to quantify this just because everyone has their own tastes and their own and on top of that there are all kinds of styles that could be considered the best. But for me, I’m choosing one that really had some incredible action sequences. I also loved the way they depicted magic powers with this colorful wisps of color-it had a very ethereal quality to them

I’m going to have to say  Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Budget Blade Works by Ufotable animation studios. Character design is a strong nod to the visual novel aesthetic; while the characters aren’t necessarily the most complex in facial expressions’ it’s something I overlook due to the rest of the content. This series may rely heavily on some post processing but the action scenes really are by far the best animated scenes. They’re vibrant and beautifully sequenced fight scenes. There’s a particular scene I want to talk about but looking ahead I can already see I can cover it at a later date. I also am particularly  partial to how Archer’s reality marble is animated. I love Archer >_<!!

Here’s a few gifs I found…speaking of post-processing and CGI effects. I’m about to open Final Fantasy XV! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time!!! Sorry to keep this one short and sweet! Till next time!
