Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I hope you’re having a great day whether you’re a single pringle (lol, what LitaKino from KinoReviews would say) or in a loving relationship. I hope you are celebrating today with lots of love. And as Kageyama in the header says, “…what does this mean?” Well, keep on reading!
Today’s special post started off as a passing thought brought up by blogging bestie Mel. We decided to bring aboard Irina, our newest recruit due to our shared love of KnB and other bishies and ikemen.
The rules of the post were that each of us picked an anime in which we would choose ‘ships for someone else to write about. Obviously we picked ones that we were either partial to, or wanted to hear what they thought about. Honestly, for me, I chose really rare pairs from my anime of choice (Free! of course) to give to Mel and Irina. I wanted to know what they think, because in my head (and in the fanfic’s I’ve read) they work and are actually quite cute.
Mel chose the sport anime Haikyuu!! while Irina went with the more mature adult route in choosing Bungou Stray Dogs. When Mel told me her pick for me, I couldn’t help but laugh because I KNOW we both like this rare pair, so it’s a bit of a freebie for me to write about them. However, Irina’s choice from Bungou really has me thinking about it and having to re-visit these particular characters.
So, will these ship’s weather my storm of judgement or will they sail through calm waters? Continue reading “[Collaboration] Will This ‘Ship Sink or Sail?”
Hey hey hey Owlets!! It’s Archi-Anime’s turn to contribute to the OWLS November blog tour. OWLS: Otaku Warriors for Liberty and Self-Respect, is a group that hopes to spread the important message of respect and kindness to every human being. Our monthly blog tours reflect this message of tolerance and self-acceptance, through various analysis of the anime medium; although it is not limited to anime.
November’s theme is “Diplomacy”:
Whenever we have a disagreement with someone, we use our words to express our thoughts and opinions. However, there are those who would rather use fists instead of words, those who forget that being “right” isn’t the most important thing, and those who lose sight of compromising and acknowledging differences in opinion and belief. Diplomacy is an important skill and tactic that not many of us have or are able to utilize properly especially in “social media wars” for sensitive issues and anime discourse—we just express our opinions without really listening.
For this month’s prompt, we will be exploring some of the best negotiations scenes in pop culture media and discuss how effective these diplomatic moments are and what we can learn from them. We will also discuss why communication and listening are important traits to have and whether or not there are other means to enforce peace.
Diplomacy. Negotiation. Is there really a right or wrong way to solve a problem? Do diplomatic negotiations resolve in something for the greater good? Is it something that would be beneficial for the population or only serve well for the parties involved?
Whether good or bad, negotiations are held to resolve disputes. Whether they can be used for the greater good can be questionable. In my examination of the term ‘Diplomacy’ I’ll be looking at it the anime Bungou Stray Dogs. Continue reading “[OWLS Blog Tour] The Guise of Diplomacy : Bungou Stray Dogs”
LOL, okay I’ll apologize for such a pun of a title. It’s horrible. I could’ve changed it, but I’ve decided to keep the cheesiness of it. So, Sorry not sorry, I guess? With that being said, this week’s MCM features my top 10 orange-haired men.
10. Robato Hatohara (Robot X Laserbeam)
The newest character to add to my ever-growing obsession with sports anime. Robato hails from the new manga Robot X Laserbeam, a manga about Golf, from the mangaka Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the creator of my beloved Kuroko no Basket. Robato’s nickname is “Robo-Kun” as he is expressionless, straight-faced, and completely honest (very much like Kuroko). His classmates basically see him as a robot due to all of his mannerisms. Also, he’s a megane!! Who doesn’t love meganes! ❤

Good afternoon! MCM is a tad bit behind schedule today due to my spontaneous weekend! Things will be a bit behind schedule this week, I apologize!
As most of you know aside from my sports anime bias, I have a soft spot for blondes in anime. I can’t really explain it, is it something about their golden locks? Is it because of who my ultimate anime crush that spurned on my love for these blondes? Or is just just because all of these guys have a surprisingly silly side to them even when they look so serious? I could easily pinpoint my number one favorite blonde, but I figured I’d continue with the list format and eventually go back to posting regularly about individuals! So! Without further ado, here are my Top 5 Blondes!
5. DOPPO KUNIKIDA (BUNGOU STRAY DOGS)
Kunikida is a blonde megane. I struggled whether to put him on the Megane list or on the Blonde list, I opted for the blonde because his hair was one of the most striking features for me. His other “feature” would be the fact that he carries around a notebook and pen for his ideals. Ah, everytime he brought out that notebook I couldn’t help but laugh, because in that sense I am Kunikida. Go through my purse and you’ll find a notebook and a planner! I’m always writing in one or the other whenever something comes to mind.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- “99” | Mob Psycho 100: Last week’s song was Mob Psycho 100’s OP to get me kicked off for the long work week ahead of me. I had been looking to a relaxing weekend – but alas relaxation has evaded me yet again!
- No Longer Human: Osamu Dazai: Looked at one of my favorite supernatural anime characters; that being Osamu Dazai from Bungou Stray Dogs. I look at his character’s journey and what his cause to become apart of the Armed Detective Agency.
- Daimidaler: I didn’t get to watch a ton of anime since I was working, but I did watch have something on while I worked; that being Daimidaler. An anime so bad I can’t tell if it’s bad on purpose.
- [Guest Blogger] My Best Friend Became a Courtesan: Men of Yoshiwara- Hayabusa Main Story Review: Naja and I had been working on this collaborative post for awhile now, and we were finally able to get it together and get it done! It was my first otome and first collaborative post. I had so much that I’m looking forward to writing more about my Otome adventures!
This week was a bit short, but once my work deadline is done I’m going to try to get back on schedule and bring more content to the blog!
