Today’s feature is about something I wish I knew more about. There’s actually a lot of things I wish they could elaborate on, but there’s one thing I wish was given to us. Irina brought it up in a recent fangirl session, but it was a very valid point.
Background and History of Akashi Seijuro
Of the Generation of Miracles, Akashi has the least amount of screen time over the course of three seasons, which is unfortunate. He was shown to be more of a shadowy figure in the grand scheme of things.
We know he’s a rich kid. We know he lost his mom. We know that his Dad demands perfection, and we know he has two sides of them. But I think the lack of his involvement till the last like 5 episodes of a three season series is unfortunate.

Oh but Auri, is Akashi shown more in the manga? Or is it the same as the show. I’m looking forward to Akashi chapters.

There’s no doubt it, Akaashi’s background really wasn’t detailed enough to let us know about him as much as the other GoM players. Totally with you on this one.

Right, I mean the same could be said about Murasakibara, but for someone who had a dominant presence and hold over the GoM, Akashi should’ve had a bit more of the spotlight – just like Aomine and Kise. It was hard to get attached to Akashi with him featured in only 5 episodes.

Murasakibara was mysterious alright, but his character never really made that much of an impact so that it could bother me if I don’t know his history.
Akaashi was hard to get attached to due to his mysterious past…. But he still was cool enough to get everyone’s attention…. Like a boss 😎
