Thanks Tsukki for the segment introduction! This week is sparse yet again. I’ve got so many posts started but need to finish them off and sent them out. But here’s my round-up of posts:
- Sunday Salutations | [OP]: Spell: Last week I featured the OP from the anime No.6. and featured another special on my love for the 2017 NBA Champions, the Golden State Warriors! 😀
- Top 5 Blindingly Handsome White Haired Men: I list my top 5 white haired characters
- The Foil of the Goddess of the 104th: Historia: With AoT Season 2 done, I thought it would be a great week to finally get my WCW about Historia out the door! It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these! I hope you guys enjoyed it!

I’m going to do something a bit different here. I won’t just link anime related posts. I’m opening this up to gaming, architecture, art, anything I’ve found worthwhile on the internet! (I’ve crossed our architecture and art as I’m creating a new series on this subject matter since they’re not anime-related)
WordPress:
- Review: Free! by DTalksAnime. An honest review on one of my favorites. While I am a Free! fangirl, I can totally understand some of the points D makes about the show. And although I love this show, it is definitely a fairly average show over all.
- How “I” Learned to See Color – A Colorful (movie) Review by WeekendOtaku. A great piece from one of my favorite bloggers! Always learn something from WeekendOtaku, and have since added this to my watch list!
- Lyn’s Adventures: Golden State Warriors Parade: by LynLynSays. We’re both Warriors fans that reside in the Bay and she got to participate in something I could not 😦 So I lived vicariously through her.
Non-Wordpress:
- Building LeBron James’ All Anime Super Team to Defeat the Warriors by Dil (anitay.kinja.com)
- An Insider’s Look At Working In The Anime Business by Brian Ashcroft (kotaku.com)
- Steam Sale! June 22 July 5 for any of you gamers out there, don’t miss out on any of the summer steam deals! I picked up Nameless over the weekend as it’s been on my wishlist for quite some time!

OWLS POSTS:
We are a group of otaku bloggers who promotes acceptance of all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and disability. We emphasize the importance of respect, kindness, and tolerance to every human being.
Our June tour looks at the theme of “Team”. The prompt is as follows:
June is known as “Pride Month” within the LGBT & Queer communities in honor of the Stonewall Riots that occurred at the end of June in 1969. At OWLS, we strongly support individuals who are part of the LGBT & Queer communities as well as individuals who are struggling with their sexual orientation or gender identity.
“Team” functions in two ways: 1) allows individuals to show their support to the LGBT & Queer communities and 2) allows LGBT & Queer communities to express their love to whoever they want.
So for the “Team” topic, we will be discussing our favorite LGBT & Queer characters in anime and other pop culture related media, the impact of the yaoi and yuri genre within LGBT & Queer communities, our personal stories involving gender/sexual orientation, and etc.
Here’s who posted last week:
- Redefining the Rotten Fandom of the Rotten Yaoi Genre by Arria (fujinsei)
- It Just Is: Relationships Don’t Always Need Labels, by Naja (Nice Job, Breaking it Hero)
- Crona Gorgon: Soul Eater, by Zoe (Let’s Talk Anime)
- YURI ANIME AND MANGA: VALIDATING LESBIAN RELATIONSHIPS AS REAL, by Rai (Rai’s Anime Blog)
And if you’re interested in joining us OWLS don’t hesitate to reach out and talk us via Twitter, Facebook, or the OWLS blog contact form, and check out our blog tour wrap up sessions over at YouTube.

“A great piece from one of my favorite bloggers!”
And what happened, then? Well, on WordPress they say – that the WeekendOtaku’s small heart grew three sizes that day.
Thank you for the mention, Zel. You are seriously the best 😀
