The Winter anime season is already upon us. I’ve had a few on my “plan to watch list” on MAL for quite some time, but looking back at it now, there may be a few more I’m adding.
My top 5 anticipated are:
- Ao No Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen
I’ve been a fan of Blue Exorcist for awhile, and am actually surprised to find out that the second arc of the first season was non-canon; so when I saw the latest first episode I was really confused. - Kuzu no Honkai (Scum’s Wish)
The story is intriguing and I had actually started reading the manga recently on a whim and not knowing that it was going to be adapted. - Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu: Sukeroku Futatabi-hen
First season was a real hit for me. Tragic but good. I can’t wait to see what Yakumo is up to – he seems to have always been the character I’ve been attached to on this show. - Masamune-kun no Revenge
When I read the premise of the show I just figured this might actually be a good comedy. So I’m giving it a shot
- ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka
The art style is what really drew me into this one; and considering it’s from madhouse, I figured what can go wrong with it?
Other’s I’ll be following/checking out:
- Chain Chronicle
Intrigued by it just because it’s Fantasy. - Fuuka
a twitter obsessed kid? I’m in! - Little Witch Academia
This one was recommended to me by someone. I know Netflix has the movie, and its from Trigger whose artstyle I rather like. So I’ll be checking this one out too. - Super Lovers 2
I read the manga so….yeah..just gonna leave that one there. - Rewrite: Moon & Terra
even tho I hated the first season I’ll probably check it out just because I started it – ahh the animasochist in me - Chaos;Child
…debating because i haven’t seen chaos;head yet – and I’m probably going to binge watch chaos;head before this even starts.
Continuations from Fall 2016 that I’m still following:
- 3-gatsu no Lion
To be honest I need to catch up on this one. - All Out!!
What can I say I’m really a sucker for the sports genre. Despite its crazy weird sometimes off-putting art style – I’m actually enjoying this one even though it’s got all the sports anime cliche’s and tropes on it. I still like this one. I may end up writing a post about it….maybe…a very huge maybe…
What’s everyone else looking forward to this coming Winter season?
Ugh, seeing how many people are watching Blue Exorcist and Rakugo I wish I had followed those shows before this season too.

I’ve got to watch Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu soon. I’m excited for Little Witch Academia because I loved the two movies (the first more than the second). I hope the series will be good, too. I also liked Trigger’s art style.
I’m also looking forward to watching Gintama’s new season, though I have to catch up to it first. Same with 3-Gatsu no Lion. Also checking out Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation.

Ooo see I’m starting from the beginning with gintama so I have a really long way to go! And yowamushi is like one of the sports animes I HAVENT started yet!! I need to tho! Yes! I watched the two short movies of little witch academia and I def am a fan of trigger. Kiznaiver was my fave of theirs so far

Oh, do stick with Gintama! I actually find its later episodes to be more fun than the first ones. And looking forward to one of your posts about YowaPeda someday. I haven’t watched Kiznaiver though I plan to watch it someday.

If I loved Kuroko, haikyuu, all out, days…..will I love yowapeda? With haikyuu being at the high end of the spectrum and days at the low end, where does yowapeda stand u think? I’m curious cuz I’m pretty partial to sports!

I haven’t watched Days and All Out yet though I’ve been mulling over it so I can’t say for sure. Like any other sports anime, I liked YowaPeda’s character interactions. I’d rate it 7/10, though.

Ooo okay! I will definitely try it out per your recommendation. I have a friend that also swears by it so I guess it’s time to give it a shot! 😀

Oohh… I shall definitely wait for your post about it! 😀 I’m curious because I don’t know anyone else who likes it, though the fandom is bigger than some sports anime I know. 😀

Honestly, with all the series I have still to watch, I am not looking forward to anything lol (well ofcourse Attack on Titan is the exception to that rule). That said though, a lot of cool shows are on the horizon, and that one year sick leave is beginning to look more appealing by the minute 😀

I’ll be watching ACCA, Scum’s Wish and elDLIVE but I might start other anime too depending on what thoughts, opinions I read. I plan to watch the first season of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, I heard good things about it. I’m thinking about the first season of Blue Exorcist too.

I’m curious about e1DLIVE! I may check that out just because :). Rakugo is good! I’m re-watching 1st season of blue exorcist to refresh my memory.
