30 DAY ANIME CHALLENGE | 30

IT’S THE FINAL DAY!! I’ll do a final wrap-up final thoughts post tomorrow as my complete wrap up. But moving on!

trigun4

The anime that came to mind for this prompt is Trigun. I’m picking Trigun for a number of reasons. Overall the story was good and the character development of Vash was really good. I wrote about him on Day 3 – Favorite Male Character Ever. But there were a lot of unanswered questions regarding Vash; I get that there isn’t much to say about him overall but there was a connection he had with the “plants” of each city on the planet and he called them his brothers and sisters. We weren’t given much explanation though which has obviously irked me. I felt the second arc of Trigun to be a bit on the rushed side, and felt that maybe it would’ve benefited from a second season. I also would’ve liked to see what the future held for the Vash and Knives after the latter’s defeat in the duel.  How would Vash help Knives at that point? I was always so curious! It’s probably time for me to read the manga to see what happened.

However, even though this series had it’s share of flaws, it had an overwhelmingly positive impact on me as anime viewer. Trigun, to me has withstood the test of time and is one of my absolute favorites, if not a classic, in my library. I wouldn’t mind seeing more of Trigun maybe even as a reboot if it were to come around. One that possibly stayed more true to the manga.  I don’t think the anime followed it completely.

Is there any animes you wish had another season? If so, tell me your thoughts in the comments below!lovenpeace

  1. Yeah: you made it 😀 Congrats. I loved Trigun, it was a very cool series. I really liked how this series started all fun, and became darker and darker with each episode. I defintely would have wanted to see another season as well. Great choice 😀

  2. Congrats on getting all the way to the end!

I’ve fallen waaaaaaay behind on mine. I’m still on #14 because I’ve been so busy with other posts recently…

I really need to get back to it!

Also, Trigun is a great choice for this. I feel the show ended far too soon for its own good and wish that it followed the Manga more!

    Once again, congrats!

  4. I have not seen “Trigun.” Is it a mecha? *googles* No, no, not a mecha. Vash is a vampire? I mean, I’m not opposed to vampires, but it doesn’t seem like my thing visually and I have no idea what the plot is about! 😀 Anyway, congratulations on completing your 30 Day Challenge! I’m about to head back and read some of your challenge posts right now!

I’ve started prepping for my own 30 Days starting in January, so I hope I can get it all posted within that time frame!

    1. Ohhh good luck! I struggled because I didn’t prep ahead enough and I needed more time to sit and thing about certain prompts.but thank you! I hope you enjoy the posts! Unfortunately Vash is not a vampire – he’s …an alien I guess you could say. Basically he’s an expert gunman that’s labeled the humanoid typhoon because he destroys the towns he passes through. There’s a huge bounty on his head so tons of ppl are after him. However despite being an expert gunman he hates violence and doesn’t think anyone has the right to take another’s life. His motto is: love and peace. Although he has created some incredible disasters they are not entirely his fault. It’s a sci-fi western I guess u could say lol! Hope that answered what it was about!

Can’t wait to see your challenge posts!
