Relocation

I’ve been away from the blogging scene for awhile.  I was an avid user of Xanga since 2003.  I had stopped blogging around 2009, when I got into my Architecture program.

Being abroad in Japan via my Architecture school, made me realize how much I miss writing. I may not be the best at blogging, but I want to start somewhere.  I realize that I’m not as introspective as I used to be, and that I’ve been lacking in expressing how I feel about anything.  I’m hoping I can regain a part of myself that I feel that I’ve lost over the years becoming so engulfed with my work at SCI-Arc.

But by the time I decided to start blogging on my old Xanga, I find that Xanga might be shutting down.  They’re trying to fundraise money, and unfortunately I can’t contribute to it, so I thought of my second best option…to re-locate.  The one thing I’ll miss most about Xanga is the amazing community and the support system of people there.  I can only hope WordPress can offer that as well.

Studying abroad in Japan? Ah. That is pretty awesome. Was it actual architecture or general education classes.

    1. @xonthis – Yeah, it’s actually a Design Studio, our project is focusing on the Tsukiji fish market as a site.

I’m still hoping Xanga will pull through though, because the community there is awesome!

  2. I hope that Xanga pulls through also but I am still staying here. The longer I am here the more I like it.
Welcome here and nice to meet you.

  3. I think everyone’s relocated here! I had never even heard of WP until my Xanga friends started talking about moving here.
Hurrah Xangans! If they tell us, “you can’t stay here” we still find ways to stay together.
